Book Review: Brotherhood In Death by JD Robb, another Roarke Dallas futuristic crime story!

Over the years I've become quite addicted to JD Robb's Dallas/ Roarke series.  I love the fast paced smooth storylines, the quirky characters and the great futuristic insights.  But, most of all I love Eve Dallas's vulnerability and how that moulds her character.

In Brotherhood In Death , the husband of Eve's friend,
JD Robb
Dennis Mira, interrupts the abduction of his cousin Senator Edward Mira.  When later the senator is delivered home and slowly hung after being horrifically tortured, Eve knows the motivation is sex.  Then, of course, it escalates and Eve and the trusty Peabody are soon on the trail of the murderers.

For those of you who like the cross-over genres in crime fiction this is definitely for you.  Not too 'futuristic' that you lose all sense of the police procedural, but 'futuristic' enough to tease you.

As ever, the dynamics between Eve and Roarke are sizzling.  Her relationships with 'her cops' are affirming and loyal.  All in all a great read.
