      My book Dying to See You was  released on 25 th April 2018. It’s a psychological thriller based in Bedfordshire about a single mum, Sophie, who meets the wrong man. She doesn’t know Max has been watching her for some time.           My inspiration for the book came from pondering how well we ever know anyone. I run a care agency for children and when we recruit carers we undertake formal interviews as well as Disclosure and Barring Service police checks, two references and a medical. When I first met my husband-to-be twenty years ago it was several months before I met anyone who knew him and could verify who he was. I allowed him into my home and introduced him to my two children. Thankfully my instincts were correct and he is a warm and loving man. Sophie in my story isn’t so lucky.

Sharon Thompson's debut novel The Abandoned was released in January 2018 and it is with great pleasure that I welcome her to The Crime Warp today.  Sharon's lucky because I've been to the shops and we've got Tunnock's tea cakes to munch on whilst we chat! It's a delight for me to welcome Graham Smith onto The Crime Warp today.  Not only is Graham a very talented author but he also hosts the applauded Crime and Publishment courses in his hotel in Gretna and is an inspirational and supportive member of the crime writing fraternity,... I've reviewed a couple of Anne's books and we've been FB friends for a while so it was lovely to meet up with her in person at Crime Fest this year ... she's such a lovely person, it's quite difficult to imagine her writing such gritty books... but she does, and she does it with aplomb.  Lovely to have you hear at The Crime Warp HQ.

So here we are on the last day of Harrogate Crime Writer's festival and I'm so chuffed to be spending time with Tara Lyons on this glorious day!  A bit too early for Prosecco but we can have coffee instead!

Please meet the lovely Danielle Ramsay whose latest book,  The Last Cut, recently hit our shelves .  The Last Cut is all about empowerment and I defy any of you, after reading this Q&A, not to go out and buy it.  This is a stunning and honest interview and I am honoured that Danielle agreed to be Warped with us today. 

Debut author, Fiona Cummins is the first of Val McDermid's 2017 New Blood panel from Theakston's crime festival to be interviewed on The Crime Warp.  I make no bones about saying that every year the New Blood panel is one of the ones I look forward to the most.  I find it entertaining, encouraging and welcome the chance to share this interview with The Crime Warp readers.
