Hiding by Jenny Morton Potts, Book Review
What is the connection between North Carolina and the
Scottish Highlands? In this case a deadly mystery. Jenny Morton Potts has
written a fabulously stylish debut thriller with intriguing characters,
cracking dialogue and a beautifully structured tense and twisty plot. I’m
particularly taken with Keller Baye, her main male protagonist. She captures
his complicated and often contradictory essence as well as the cadences of his
speech to bring him alive on the page. I also enjoyed the ominous Scottish
setting with lonely Rebecca Brown, whose life holds such intriguing secrets.
Hiding is a thriller about two strong characters, separated
by a sea, yet linked by a terrifying story. It was first published in February
2018 and is available at Amazon in paperback or on Kindle.
Jenny Morton Potts hails from Scotland but she has lived in
France and England and currently resides in Thaxted. She says she intends to
write till she drops but before that she'd love to see the Northern Lights.
