Book Review: Nomad by James Swallow,

Nomad by James Swallow (Bonnier Zaffre publishing Release date 2nd June 2016)

I don't read many espionage type thrillers, but when I received a review copy of Nomad from the publishers complete with a dossier folder and confidential correspondence alongside the book and I was hooked...

There's only one word to sum up Nomad and that word is Wow! Wow! and Wow! again.
Swallow hits the page running and you never stop, from the panoramic opening scenes in Barcelona through to the military operation in Dunkirk and on through the rest of the novel.
Marc Dane the techie whizz kid, lives and works one step away from the danger that the rest of the Nomad team face on every sortie, yet with each task his trepidation never leaves him.
Not expected to use weaponry, his skill lies in keeping the Nomad team safe through his technological expertise.  It is this lack of experience and vulnerability that makes Dane such an appealing character when the rest of his team are killed and he is framed for their deaths.
Nomad is a thrilling an espionage novel as you're likely to read and Swallow's expert knowledge adds authenticity to the story.
Full of enough gadgetry, tactical operations  and weaponry to keep the reader hooked.  Overflowing with diversions, subterfuge and deceit Nomad is sure to keep you on your
toes.
Nomad is the sort of book you finish reading and then , hours later, you've still got adrenalin fizzing around your system.
Beautifully woven plots, very topical and most definitely thought provoking.
