Book Review: The Jackdaw by Luke Delaney, tantalisingly thrilling.

I hadn't read any of Delaney's, Sean Corrigan books before but I'll definitely be doing a catch up on the others.  This is the fourth Sean Corrigan book and is well crafted and addictive.

The enigmatic DI Sean Corrigan is faced with a daunting case when a mysterious man begins abducting victims from the banking and financial worlds.  He then shows the men on social media, and exposes their transgressions, asking the public to vote to decide whether they are guilty or not.  After the first victim is found guilty The Jackdaw becomes the
judge and decides the fate of his captive and executes him.  Subsequent victims are also exposed on social media as Corrigan and his team try to pin point the whereabouts of the mysterious Jackdaw and save future victims.

Corrigan is an appealing multi layered protagonist with empathetic instincts that lead him inside the minds of the criminals.  His is not a comfortable position to be in.  Delaney provides us with a veritable cast of well rounded varied characters that add to the books readability.  Fans of mark Billingham will love this.
