Book Review: No Place To Die by Clare Donoghue - New word for today- Taphephobia ; the fear of being entombed

Whilst searching for her friend, missing ex police officer, Mark Leech, DS Jane Bennett and her team discover the body of a young university student entombed in a dug out cave in Elmstead forest, with a camera installed for her killer to record her final moments of life.

Elmstead Forest
Bennetts boss, Mike Lockyer, suffering from PTSD as the result of a previous case, is temporarily relieved of his duties leaving her in charge of South London's Lewisham murder squad and feeling increasingly out of her depth.  her investigations lead her to Greenwich University where the victim Maggie Hungerford was studying psychology.  With two men admitting to a relationship with the victim but
denying knowledge of her murder, leaves Jane struggling to find evidence to link one of the two with the murder.  Meanwhile, Leech remains missing and the likelihood of finding him alive decreases and Bennett tries frantically to divide her team to research Leech's past cases for clues to his disappearance.
Donoghue, has created believable characters with vulnerabilities that make them all the stronger.  The storyline is compelling and I read it in one sitting.  This is the second in the DS Bennett/ Mike Lockyer series.
