Ex- standup comedian Mark Billingham and Scotland’s own hilarious crime writer Stuart MacBride are not to be missed.  Together they will be criminally insanely, murderously, deadly uproariously funny.

Tip 2 Nele Neuhaus and Danielle Ramsay Saturday 20th 11:45 – 12:45

Nele Neuhaus, German author of Snow White must Die and Bad Wolf in conversation with Scottish Belle, Danielle Ramsay will be enlightening.  Nele’s books are beautifully written and I enjoyed the insight into German policing and the class barrier

The Queen of cosy crime and author of the Hamish McBath series will be fantastic.  M.C Beaton is a prolific writer and is a delight to listen to.


Tip 4 The Female in Crime Fiction with Glasgow’s Women’s Library Saturday 20th 3:15 – 4:15

A great opportunity to discover more about Women as crime writer’s and as main character’s  in crime fiction. 

Tip 5 The Bloody Scotland Foorball Match Saturday 20th 1:30 – 2:30

An opportunity for Scotland to show that their crime writers are deadly serious on the pitch and for the English counterparts to reveal their murderous strategies.


Tip 6 Kathy Reichs chaired by Ian Rankin Saturday 20th 7:15 – 8:15

A must for fans of forensic/ anthropological crime thrillers. 

Tip 7 Courtroom Drama: Peter Manuel the Beast of Birkenshaw Sunday 21st

A lovely touch to add a courtroom drama to the programme.  Should be good.

Tip 8  Lin Anderson and Return to Scene R2S – Forensic Fact meets Forensic Fiction Sunday 21st 12:45 – 1:45

There is always something to learn in the forensic sessions and I never miss one if I can avoid it.

Tip 9 Alexandra Sokoloff , James Oswald, Gordon Brown Sunday 21st 4:15 – 5:15
