Where The Bones are Buried by Jeanne Matthews, set in  Berlin, this is a lovely fast paced entertaining read.  Dinah Pelerin a Native Seminole Indian anthropologist lives in Berlin with her Norwegian anti terrorist partner Thor.  All is idyllic until her mother Swan turns up with her friend Margaret (both of whom appear to be pathalogical liars) and suddenly Dinah's colourful heritage in the form of her mother's many marriages, Swan's gangster ex husband (now deceased) and his killer (Margaret) in tow is thrust in her face again.  However when Swan and Margaret reveal they are searching for a tax evading friend of the deceased gangster and they are shot at and nearly run off the road, Dinah becomes concerned for their safety. A lovely light- hearted mystery with the dynamics between Dinah and the two older women beautifully portrayed.  Despite being the fifth in the Dinah Pelerin series it reads well as a stand alone
