     Jilliane Hoffman has created a killer called CUPID and a hero called C.J. Townsend.  There are three books in the Townsend trilogy.

 1/ The Retribution :

          A young lawyer is raped and left for dead.  Years      later, having changed her identity,  she is in the courtroom to prosecute a serial killer called Cupid.  When he speaks for the first time she recognises his voice as her rapists'.

2/ Last Witness:

This is the second book in the series.  It appears that Cupid is pulling strings from behind bars as a series of witnesses for the prosecution are killed.

 

 3/ The Cutting Room :

     In the third book Cupid escapes from prison and targets C.J Townsend again.  Meanwhile police are on the trail of a group of killers involved in snuff movies.

                                     

                                       

 4/   Bloody Valentine  (Quick Read)by James Patterson

A couples Valentine's Day plans are at risk.  The police have many suspects from the fancy block of flats they live in including the couple themselves who could be imagining things.

Chelsea Cain has written a serial killer quintet with Gretchen Lowell as the killer and Archie Sheridan as the detective

5/ Heartsick

Gretchen Lowell, a serial killer and psychiologistgets involved in the current serial killer case led by Arechie Sheridan.  When he realses she is the killer she kidnaps him and subjects him to weeks of extreme torture keeping him on the brink of death.  Suddenly she releases him and hands herself in leaving archie with serios emotional problems.  When a new serial killer appears she offers her assistance

      

 6/Sweet heart  

Following quickly on from Heartsick, archie finds himself again on the trail of a serial killer.  Meanwhile Gretchen Lowell uses her pychological skills to compel a police officer to murder and she escapes from prison

7/ Evil at Heart

Gretchen is still on the loose and when a spleen turns up near a wall covered in love hearts , archie, who has been under psychaitric care for his painkiller abuse and his strange obsession with Gretchen becomes involved.  A new serial killer, a copy cat or Gretchen?... who knows?

 8/ Kill You Twice

Gretchen is in a Psychiatric prison.  Archie becomes involved in another serial killer case and is forced to decide whether the info Gretchen claims to have is worth putting himself before her again. 

9/ Let Me Go

Is the fifth in the series and is due out this year 

10/ Killing Cupid by Louise Voss and Mark Edwards

A chilling  stalker killer story which shows a thin line between love and hate when a psychotic stalker has competition
