Detectives in The Dock welcomes Michelle Kidd's DCI Jack MacIntosh
It's great to have the chance to delve into the mind of Michelle Kidd's DCI Jack MacIntosh, so without further ado let's get grilling him.
Tell us a little about Jack MacIntosh’s background
Detective Inspector Jack MacIntosh is the central character in my DI Jack MacIntosh
series (unsurprisingly!). He works for the Metropolitan Police. He is a character with many different facets. The main element of his background is that as a child aged 4 he witnessed the aftermath of his mother’s death by discovering her body hanging from a light fitting. Both he and his younger brother, Stuart, were then taken into the foster care system and were separated for much of their childhood and early adult lives. Jack fared well, joining the police force, but his brother wasn’t so lucky. I won’t spoil the story any more!

become closer and closer as the DI Jack MacIntosh booms progress.
