Book Review: Steve Mosby's, I Know Who Did It, an insightful, provocative novel!

I half expected I Know Who Did It by Steve Mosby, to be the traditional police procedural 'catch the paedophile' sort of book, but it was so much more than that and I am so glad I pestered the publishers for a copy!

Policeman David Groves receives
birthday card addressed to his dead son with the words 'I know who did.' written inside.  Meanwhile, Charlie Matheson, a girl killed in a car crash two years previously, returns from the dead with extreme scarification on her face claiming to have been in Hell.  is there a link between the two incidents?
I know Who did it  is beautifully crafted, mind blowingly ingenious and thoroughly enjoyable.  The characters are well rounded and the plot is like a rich tapestry of intricately woven threads that tell a multi- faceted story with sensitivity and finesse.

The compulsion to read on was so strong I ignored tea time, cancelled the pub and settled down for the long haul.  I know who did it is refreshingly different form much of the crime fiction I've read in recent months.  It's edgy, and sensitive and the fantastic twist at around p310 is brilliantly placed.
Definitely recommended to those who like a bit of thinking person's 'Noir'.
