Book Review: Dying For Christmas by Tammy Cohen brings a whole new dimension to Christmas festivities
Dying For Christmas is a totally enthralling read, written in two
parts.
Throughout Dying For Christmas
the tension ratchets up (even now I’m still trying to defrost the icy tingles
that settled in my spine). If you’re
after a disturbing, creepy, well written story that keeps you guessing and challenges
all your preconceptions then this is one for you.
After a hectic last minute Christmas shop, Jessica
Gold, in an uncharacteristic moment of madness accompanies a man she has only
just met back to his flat…
it’s then her nightmare begins as she is subjected
to a horrific Christmas captivity that leaves the reader unsettled and on edge.
Dying for Christmas
is pure psychological thrill at its’ best.
Told alternately from the points of view of both Jessica and the
detective trying to find her this is a missing person’s
case with a huge difference and characters with pressing everyday issues that
are honestly imparted.
The plot is chock full of tense, dark and
disturbing intrigue, and just when you think it couldn't get any better Cohen
slaps you with a brilliantly convincing mega- twist that hits you in the gut.
If you’re a fan of Elizabeth Haynes, Julia Crouch
or Helen Fitzgerald then you’ll love this
